Description

Historically used by the Guarani Amerindians for its mystical properties, Yerba Mate keeps its reputation as a bringer of strength, vitality and fertility intact. Mate is a tree native to southern Brazil, which grows abundantly in the wild in the Atlantic Forest. Its leaves have been consumed in the form of an infusion by indigenous peoples for centuries, for its stimulating and digestive properties. Today very widely consumed throughout Brazil, and especially in the south of the country, mate is part of Brazilian popular culture. The yerba mate supplied by Ingrenium is treated by an innovative process called "sapecagem" which avoids the oxidation of the leaves and the formation of toxic compounds.
